In a timely move for IPL fans and franchises alike, Mustafizur Rahman has been officially granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to participate in the IPL 2025 from May 18 to May 24.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has received a no-objection certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. However, Mustafizur 's participation for Delhi Capitals will be limited to the league phase of the IPL, with the BCB allowing him to participate in the league from May 18-24.

The Bangladesh team is currently in Sharjah to play two T20Is against the United Arab Emirates on May 17 and 19. Mustafizur will be available for Bangladesh's first match before joining the DC team. After this series, Bangladesh will leave for Pakistan to play a five-match T20I series starting May 25, with the board hoping that Mustafizur will rejoin the national team by then.

"As per the decision of BCB Cricket Operations, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to national team pacer Mustafizur Rahman to participate in the ongoing IPL 2025 in India from 18 to 24 May 2025," the BCB said in a statement. "It may also be noted that Mustafizur is available for Bangladesh's first T20 International match against the United Arab Emirates in Sharjah on 17 May 2025."

DC had selected Mustafizur instead of Jack Fraser-McGurk but the BCB insisted that they were not informed about his participation. Cricbuzz reported that Mustafizur will leave the Bangladesh team hotel after the opening game against the United Arab Emirates on 17 May and join DC.

DC will still take the field to play in the IPL 2025 play-offs on 17 May. They are currently fifth with 13 points from 11 matches, just one point behind fourth-placed MI, who have played one more match.

DC's remaining three matches are against top-four contenders GT (May 18), MI (May 21) and PBKS (May 24). But if DC make it to the playoffs, Mustafizur will not be available to play again as he is expected to be kept as part of the Bangladesh squad to play Pakistan.
