Khaled Mahmud resigned from the post of BCB director. The former captain became the BCB director after defeating Gazi Ashraf Hossain in the 2013 elections. He stepped down after 11 years of serving in the cricket board. BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury confirmed Mahmud's resignation at Prothom Aloke.
He was in charge of BCB's game development department for a long time before leaving office. During his time, Bangladesh U-19 team won the U-19 World Cup in South Africa in 2020. The youth team won the U-19 Asia Cup in UAE this year. Apart from this, he has worked as an interim coach and manager of the Bangladesh national team as a board director.

After the fall of the government on August 5, among the elected directors of BCB, another former captain Naimur Rahman resigned on September 4. NSC nominated director Jalal Yunus also stepped down earlier on the request of NSC. However, NSCE has removed another director nominated by NSC Ahmed Sazzadul Alam. The current president Farooq Ahmed and Nazmul Abedin came to the board instead of these two.
Although inactive, former president Nazmul Hasan and director Shafiul Alam Chowdhury are still on the directorship of BCB. However, Nazmul Hasan resigned from the post of president and Shafiul Alam Chowdhury from the post of head of women's wing.
