If you want to be a champion in the 2025 edition, any franchise of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) or the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) can book Rishad Hossain now. Who knows, if someone else takes Rishad from the draft or auction!

You can probably guess the reason for such increased demand for Rishad. This spin bowling all-rounder from Bangladesh has recently become a good luck charm in franchise cricket. The team he plays for is the champion and is celebrating the title.

The latest such scene was seen last night. Rishad's Lahore Qalandars became champions by successfully chasing a target of 202 runs set by Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, which is the record for the highest run chase in a T20 league final.

Two other Bangladeshi all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan and Mehedi Hasan Miraj are part of the title-winning Lahore. Although Shakib and Miraj were not in the final XI.

The Bangladesh national team has always lacked a world-class leg-spinner. However, the arrival of Rishad has largely eliminated that lack. He stepped into the international arena 2 years and 2 months ago. However, in a short time, he has caught the attention of T20 league franchises.

Rishad's success in the T20 World Cup last year gave him the opportunity to play in Canada's Global T20 League. He was picked by the Toronto Nationals. But he could not go to Canada due to visa complications. Although he could not play, his team Toronto Nationals eventually became the champion.

Rishad was bought by Hobart Hurricanes in the last season of Australia's Big Bash League. However, the BCB did not give him a no-objection certificate because the Bangladesh team was on a tour of the West Indies. Hobart Hurricanes became champions even though he did not play, which was the first title in the team's history.

Rishad played for Rangpur Riders in the first edition of the Global Super League (GSL) held in Guyana last year. This Bangladeshi franchise started the tournament by losing the first two matches, but turned around brilliantly and finally won the title.

Rishad also won the BPL for Fortune Barisal last February before winning the PSL with Lahore tomorrow.

This means that whether Rishad plays or not, the franchises he has been a part of in the last 12 months have been celebrating the title. Rishad can therefore be called a messenger of good fortune.

However, Shakib Al Hasan has won the most tournament titles among Bangladeshi cricketers. With Lahore Qalandars becoming the champions yesterday, Shakib has won seven trophies for a total of six teams.

Earlier, the world's best all-rounder had won the BPL once each for Dhaka Gladiators and Dhaka Dynamites, the CPL once each for Barbados Tridents and Jamaica Tallawahs, and the IPL twice for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Caribbean legend Dwayne Bravo is at the top of the list with a record 17 trophies in T20 tournaments. The record for winning the most T20 tournament titles in a calendar year is held by another Caribbean star, Andre Russell.

In 2016, he won the T20 World Cup for the West Indies, the Big Bash League for Sydney Thunder, the PSL for Islamabad United, the CPL for Jamaica Tallawahs, and the BPL for Dhaka Dynamites.
